Our first year · A new name

We set out to honor 100 projects. Now we’re going for 365.

When the Rotary Club of Newport Beach launched 100 Projects in 100 Countries, the goal was simple: honor 100 great Rotary projects from 100 countries, one every day of the countdown, each scored with the 4-7-8-17 framework to make sure it is true, fair and built to last.

In our first year, Rotarians blew past that goal. Projects kept arriving from clubs, schools and community partners around the world, well beyond the 100 we set out to find. We had outgrown the 100 in 100 name.

So we gave it a new one: the 4-7-8-17 Global Success Program. In 2027 we will showcase 365 projects, one for every day of the year, from more than 200 countries where there are Rotary clubs.

How it works

Recognition, not grants

100 in 100 gives great projects visibility, tools and introductions. It is not a grant or funding program. Every project is scored with the 4-7-8-17 framework.

  1. Share your project

Complete a short entry form in about 15 minutes. Every entry gets its own project page.

  2. Get scored fairly

Projects are measured against the Four-Way Test, Rotary’s 7 Areas of Focus, the 8 Pillars of Positive Peace and the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals.

  3. Get connected

Honored projects are introduced to partners, media and Rotary clubs who can help them grow.

The scoring model

Four layers. One fair score.

The 4-7-8-17 framework checks that every project is true, fair and built to last.
